PenFed Foundation Launches ‘Veteran Women Boot Camp Accelerator’ to Empower Veteran Women Entrepreneurs | state
TYSONS, Virginia, April 28, 2021 / PRNewswire / – The PenFed Foundation, a national 501 (c) 3 founded by PenFed Credit Union, today announced a program to launch a veteran women’s boot camp accelerator designed to educate and empower small veteran-owned businesses in space government procurement by bringing together resources from across the country to create increased access to capital and opportunities.
The PenFed Foundation Veteran Entrepreneur Investment Program (VEIP), will engage established women entrepreneurs with companies in public procurement through free and business-focused training sessions, coaching sessions, networking opportunities and access to grants and scholarships during the six-month program.

The program is open to female veterans who are verified by the VA Center for Verification and Evaluation, who have three to five years in the business, past performance as a prime contractor or subcontractor in business lines specified, and are available to attend all sessions. The first session will start June 28, 2021, and the program will end October 2021 with a pitch competition.
